Handheld xDSL Tester Designed to Test and Analyze VDSL2, ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ Networks

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm is offering its handheld xDSL tester designed to test and analyze VDSL2, ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ networks. The compact tester is an ideal tool for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of any xDSL network.

This multi-function xDSL tester, model A0010004, accurately tests the physical, network and application layers at a high speed. It can be used in “ATUR+PC” emulation without an additional ADSL2+/VDSL2 modem or computer. It is capable of Web browsing, Web rate measurement and FTP speed measurement. It confirms whether a line is suitable for xDSL services. Ethernet and cable tests can also be performed.

This xDSL tester also functions as a digital multi meter (DMM) to test loop resistance, insulation resistance, capacitance, AC-DC voltage and estimates wire length. With the PPPoE dial-up function, the tester can obtain an IP address and conduct Ping tests including Ping loss test and Ping loopback latency test.

The compact tester runs under Windows CE operating system and offers a graphical interface and a large memory capacity of up to 2000 ADSL test records. In addition, it has an auto-off function to save power, audio and LED status indicators, and a large true color LCD with touch panel.
