Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has announced the release of its handheld CATV/QAM analyzer which is intended for both analog and digital TV signal analysis. Digital TV index measurement includes channel power, MER (modulation error ratio), BER (bit error rate) and constellation diagrams for 16/ 32/ 64/ 128/ 256QAM/ ITU-TJ.83 Annex A/B/C modulation types. Analog TV index measurement includes C/N, V/A, Tilt, Limit and trunk voltage.
This versatile CATV/QAM analyzer, model A0N00014, offers a spectrum analysis function, CM statistic function, Ping function and bandwidth testing function. It operates at a frequency range of 5 to 1000 MHz and features fast spectrum analysis, auto/limit test function and channel and spectrum scanning. The compact analyzer runs under Linux operating system, has a built-in Web browser and communicates with a computer via a USB port for simple data communications and storage. Its cable modem testing mode is compatible with DOCSIS 1.X, 2.0 and 3.0. It is powered by a 4.8 V 2.1 Ah rechargeable battery providing more than 6 hours continuous operation when fully charged.
