Compact Telecom Line Tester

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm is offering its compact telecom line tester. It is specially designed for line maintenance and construction.

This compact telecom line tester, model A0080003, features a compact size, low voltage warning, auto power off and energy-saving design. It incorporates the functions of a telephone set, a circuit performance tester and a security tester, which makes it a comprehensive device for detecting line errors. This telecom line tester performs last number dialed and caller ID display, twisted pair as well as multi-line test testing. It has an insulation test range of 0 to 40 MΩ at a maximum distance of 2 km. It provides FSK and DTMF which meets the GB/T 15279-94 standard. In addition, it is configured with a large high resolution LCD screen to display line voltage and insulation test results and a chargeable 9 V Ni-MH battery.

This compact telecom line tester belongs to GAO’s family of Telecom Line Testers. This line also includes communication cable fault tester which integrates the functions of an OTDR, ohmmeter, megohmmeter and automatic bridge and is widely used by technicians to accurately locate faults in the field, for acceptance and maintenance of lines, inspection of cable electrical characteristics and detection of faults such as breakage, misconnection, water absorption, and poor insulation and small size cable fault locator which uses TDR technology and performs fault distance location, pulse testing, cable line fault testing, wave shape comparison and data record testing.

3Com Compatible 10GBase-SR XENPAK Transceiver

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm is offering its 3Com compatible 10GBase-SR XENPAK transceiver. It is hot Z-Pluggable and plugs into an Ethernet XENPAK port of 3Com switch or router to link the port with the network.

This 3Com compatible transceiver, model C011XX01, is a fully integrated 10.3 Gbit/s optical transceiver module that consists of an 850 nm wavelength optical transmitter and receiver, XAUI interface, Mux and Demux with clock and data recovery (CDR). It uses an 850 nm VCSEL laser diode to achieve a transmission distance of up to 300 m over 50/125 multi-mode fiber. The transceiver provides a maximum data rate of 10.3 Gbps. In addition, it is compliant with XENPAK Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) Rev 3.0 and IEEE 802.3ae, 10GBASE-SR application.

This 3Com compatible 10GBase-SR XENPAK transceiver belongs to GAO’s family of 3Com Compatible Tranceivers. Optical Cable Routing Detector

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm is offering its high-performance optical cable routing detector which integrates a transmitter and a receiver into one unit. It quickly and efficiently detects the route of buried optical fiber cable and measures the depth of underground pipelines.

This optical cable routing detector, model C0290001, uses multi-coil electromagnetic technology and advanced digital signal processing techniques for accurate location. It measures pipeline depth of burial at a maximum of up to 4.5 m with a measurement accuracy of ±0.05 h ± 5 cm. It also can identify a target pipeline from multiple pipelines. Different locating models and functions are used to improve measurement efficiency. This optical cable route detector provides multi transmit modes including injection method, inductance method and clamp method. With injection method, it provides a maximum distance of pipeline routing of up to 10 km; with inductance method, the maximum distance of pipeline routing is up to 3 km and when using clamp method, it offers a maximum distance of pipeline routing of up to 6 km. It also features automatic gain adjustment, pipeline state detection and has a low battery indication. In addition, it operates at dual frequencies (480 Hz, 31 kHz) to meet different needs.
