Cisco Compatible CWDM-GBIC-1470 Transceiver

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has announced the release of its Cisco Compatible CWDM-GBIC-1470 Transceiver. It is a hot-swappable input/output device that plugs into an 802.3z standards-compliant GBIC port or slot of a Cisco switch or router to link the port with the network. It is designed for SONET, Gigabit Ethernet, fiber channel, and other communications standards and is used for telecommunications and data communications.

This Cisco compatible CWDM-GBIC-1470 transceiver operates at a wavelength of 1470 nm. It is a high performance and cost-effective module supporting both Gigabit Ethernet 1.25 Gbps full-duplex links with an optical link budget of 30 dB and Fiber Channel 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps full-duplex links. This transceiver consists of three sections: an uncooled CWDM DFB laser transmitter, a PIN photodiode integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA) and an MCU control unit. The transceiver is compatible with a variety of Cisco switches, routers and optical transport devices. It can be used in conjunction with any GBIC modules supported by Cisco devices. In addition, it offers a standard GBIC connector and a dual SC/PC connector for network connection.

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has launched its 3Com compatible 1000Base-SX GBIC transceiver which is a high performance and cost effective module for serial optical data communication applications. It is a hot-pluggable I/O device that plugs into an Ethernet GBIC port of a 3Com switch or router to link the port with the network. The transceiver is specially designed for 1.25 Gigabit per second Gigabit Ethernet, 1.06 Gbps fiber channel, and high speed I/O interface for file servers.

This 3Com compatible transceiver, model C011G101, can be used in conjunction with any GBIC modules supported by 3Com devices. It is designed for MMF (multi-mode fiber) and operates at the wavelength of 850 nm. The transmitter section incorporates an advanced VCSEL for multi-mode with temperature compensation and automatic power control circuitry (APC). The receiver section incorporates an efficient InGaAs/InP PIN photodiode, with AGC for wide dynamic range. This duplex SC transceiver is designed for Gigabit Ethernet use and provides an IEEE-802.3 compliant link at 1.25 GB/s. Only connections with patch cords with PC or UPC connectors are allowed.

The transceiver module is hot-pluggable and plugs into an Ethernet XENPAK port of a 3Com switch or router to link the port with the network. It offers customers a wide variety of 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity options for data center, enterprise wiring closet, and service provider transport applications.

This 3Com compatible transceiver, model 3CXENPAK94, can be used in conjunction with any XENPAK modules supported by 3Com devices. This 3Com Compatible 10GBASE-SR Module supports a link length of 26 meters on standard FDDI grade MMF. It has a maximum transmission distance of up to 300 meters for 2000 MHz/km MMF (multi-mode fiber). It also provides flexible interface choices.
