Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has announced the release of its Cisco Compatible CWDM-GBIC-1470 Transceiver. It is a hot-swappable input/output device that plugs into an 802.3z standards-compliant GBIC port or slot of a Cisco switch or router to link the port with the network. It is designed for SONET, Gigabit Ethernet, fiber channel, and other communications standards and is used for telecommunications and data communications.
This Cisco compatible CWDM-GBIC-1470 transceiver operates at a wavelength of 1470 nm. It is a high performance and cost-effective module supporting both Gigabit Ethernet 1.25 Gbps full-duplex links with an optical link budget of 30 dB and Fiber Channel 1 Gbps and 2 Gbps full-duplex links. This transceiver consists of three sections: an uncooled CWDM DFB laser transmitter, a PIN photodiode integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA) and an MCU control unit. The transceiver is compatible with a variety of Cisco switches, routers and optical transport devices. It can be used in conjunction with any GBIC modules supported by Cisco devices. In addition, it offers a standard GBIC connector and a dual SC/PC connector for network connection.
This Cisco compatible CWDM-GBIC-1470 transceiver belongs to GAO’s family of Cisco Compatible Transceivers. The line provides a full range of transceivers including CWDM-GBIC-1510 Cisco Compatible Transceiver, CWDM-SFP-1330 Cisco Compatible Transceiver, GLC-BX-D Cisco Compatible Extended Distance transceiver , SFP-OC12-LR1 Cisco Compatible Transceiver and other similar products. GAO’s transceivers offer a convenient and cost effective solution for use in data centers, metropolitan area access and ring networks, and storage area networks.
