Digital Insulation Resistance Tester

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has released its digital insulation resistance tester, which is designed to predict, prevent and identify insulation failures. These digital insulation resistance testers are used to test most electric equipment and insulation materials such as transformers, electro-motors, cables, switches and appliances.

The digital insulation resistance tester, model 803, measures alternating current and tests insulation resistance up to 2000MΩ and voltage below 750V AC. The tester features an auto step measurement function which enables it to gather insulation data at difference voltages. With a built-in high power voltage generator, the output testing voltage is adjustable via a rotating switch among 250V, 500V and 1000V depending on specific requirements. The tester has a backlit LCD screen making it suitable for use under bright sunlight or in poorly lit environments. In addition, it is encapsulated within a rugged, molded plastic case, making the tester a valuable tool for field test.

E1 BER Tester Covers a Broad Range of Applications

It has Ni-MH rechargeable batteries featuring a quick charge time of less than 2h and is able to operate continuously up to 6h with a single battery charge.

Handheld Signal Level Analyzer for CATV System Installation and Testing

Toronto, Canada GAO Comm has launched its handheld signal level analyzer for CATV system installation and testing. It measures CATV TILT, C/N and trunk cable voltage effectively and accurately. ?This handheld signal level analyzer is designed for testing CATV signal levels in both channel (SCAN) and frequency (SPECTRUM) modes. In “SCAN” mode, the analyzer scans all channels and records signal levels in internal memory for later analysis. In “SPECTRUM” mode, it displays the spectrums and tests frequency range.

This signal level analyzer, model 8385, is equipped with a large LCD screen for clear display of test results. It features auto-off time setup, level unit setup, frequency setup, TILT channel setup, channel plan selection, channel edition and channel sorting. It is compatible with Windows OS from XP to Vista. This handheld level analyzer operates over a wide frequency range of 5MHz to 870MHz. It offers a level range of 30dBμV to 120dBμV at a high accuracy of ±1.5dBuV (Indoor temperature) or ±2.5dBuV (-10°C to 40°C). The analyzer is able to scan up to 125 channels at a speed of 30channels/m within its operating frequency range. 24 groups of data can be stored in the analyzer memory – 100 channels per group. Moreover, it is able to operate continuously for more than 3 hours only a single charge battery.

Handheld ADSL2+ Tester Used As a DMM

It automatically detects signal loss, frame loss, power loss and cell loss and is suitable for the installation, testing and maintenance of ADSL equipment. This handheld ADSL2+ tester, model 701C, performs measurements of the ADSL physical layer, ADSL network layer and ADSL line. In terms of ADSL physical layer, it tests fast channel and interleave channel, channel speed, line loss, noise margin, transmission power and use rate of channel; it also conducts performance analysis of line errors and alarms. It simulates an ISP acting as an ADSL modem to check the operating performance of a user’s terminal equipment.
