Double Laser Diodes Fiber Optic Light Source

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has released its double LD light source designed for parameter testing in optical transmission systems and attenuation measurement. It includes double laser diodes and is compliant with international optical instrument standards. The fiber optic light source also conducts optical core check with high sensitivity and accuracy.

This easy-to-use light source, model 3C B, offers a high stable output and anti-interference capability. The full-featured LD light source has an output power of ±0.03dB/15mins and ±0.05dB/8h. It provides optional wavelengths such as 850nm, 1300nm, 1550nm, 1310/1550nm and 850/1300nm together with switchable modulation frequencies including CW, 270Hz, 1kHz and 2kHz to meet various requirements. Additionally, FC, ST and SC adapters are available.

It has functions for measuring PCM voice encoding or decoding performance characteristics, return loss, longitudinal conversion loss and longitudinal conversion transfer loss. This easy-to-use PCM channel analyzer incorporates an analog signal generator/receiver, a selective level meter, a BER tester, a signal generator/receiver, a ring generator/identifier, a dialer, a DC loop circuit (ICT, OGT), a balanced bridge and a reflecting bridge into a single instrument.

The high performance PCM channel analyzer, model 2038, features touch-panel operation, key-stroke operation, expanded mouse operation, flexible control modes and a convenient Windows’ style GUI. It has equal step sequence of frequency spots or customized spots where the number of spots is selectable. Test results can be viewed, analyzed, assembled, filed and printed via included software. Handheld ADSL2+ Tester Simulates an ADSL Modem

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm recommends this portable ADSL2+ tester designed for the testing and maintenance of ADSL equipment. It tests ADSL physical layers, ADSL network layers and ADSL lines. The tester performs line parameter testing including up and down channel rate, line attenuation, noise margin, transmission power and the utilization ratio of a channel. It automatically detects line errors and displays such alarms as signal loss, frame loss, power loss and cell loss at both the proximal end and remote end. Its compact design makes it an ideal tool for field testing.

This handheld ADSL2+ tester, model 701D, functions as an ADSL modem to simulate computer logon and verify the operation performance of the terminal equipment. Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has launched its thickness gauge GAO150. It is used for performing measurements on a wide range of material including metals, plastic, ceramics, composites, epoxies, glass and other materials that conduct ultrasonic waves well.

The thickness guage features two operating modes: single point and scan mode. Four measurement readings are taken per second in single point mode, which measures thickness at a specific point, and ten readings per second are taken in scan mode, which measures thickness over a length. Special purpose probes are available for applications such as measuring coarse grain material and for high temperature applications.
