Fast and Accurate T1 BER Tester

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has announced the release of its newly developed T1 BER tester which is an invaluable tool for routine maintenance, repair and operation monitoring for communication systems. This T1 BER Tester incorporates a special remote monitoring function, which enables the user to perform convenient real time monitoring through its software running in Windows environment.

This T1 BER tester performs 2M online monitoring and error code testing at rates from 50b/s to 2048kb/s. It supported interfaces include G.703, V.24/RS232, V.35, V.36/RS449, X.21, EIA – 530/530A and RS485/RS422. The tester capabilities include E1/T1 BER testing, NX64K BER testing, histogram analysis, E1 jitter measurement, pulse mask measurement, and ITU-T G.821, G.826, M.2100 measurement. It features propagation delay and error injection/ alarm generation. This T1 BER tester can view received data/FAS/MFAS words and send frame words including Sa bit. It is equipped with a large back lit LCD screen and stores test results and configurations into its 256kb RAM memory. Its firmware is upgradable via RS232 interface.

Real-time DVB Spectrum Analyzer

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has announced the release of its 1GHz portable real-time DVB spectrum analyzer which is specially designed for DVB-C network installation and maintenance. It is commonly used in such applications as telecommunication, broadcasting, CATV and EMC testing both indoors and outdoors.

This real-time DVB spectrum analyzer, model 8821, conducts CATV analysis including TV channel measurement and tests for other key parameters, such as CSO/CTB, C/N, MOD, LEVEL, audio test, cross-modulation, differential phase/gain and chrominance-to-luminance delay inequality. It displays constellation for 16/32/64/128/256QAM/QPSK modulation and other key parameters in digital signal measurement including MER, EVM and pre/post BER. The analyzer fully complies with ITU-T J.83 Annex A/B/C standard. It performs analysis on selected historical data stored in the memory allowing for greatly improving network operation quality. The analyzer has two windows to scan the spectrum and display results simultaneously.

Digital Video Transceiver Module Ideal for CCTV Monitoring Systems

Digital Insulation Resistance Tester Series

Handheld Signal Level Analyzer for CATV System Installation and Testing

Toronto, Canada GAO Comm has launched its handheld signal level analyzer for CATV system installation and testing. It measures CATV TILT, C/N and trunk cable voltage effectively and accurately. ?This handheld level analyzer is designed for testing CATV signal levels in both channel (SCAN) and frequency (SPECTRUM) modes. In “SCAN” mode, the analyzer scans all channels and records signal levels in internal memory for later analysis. In “SPECTRUM” mode, it displays the spectrums and tests frequency range.

This signal level analyzer, model 8385, is equipped with a large LCD screen for clear display of test results. It features auto-off time setup, level unit setup, frequency setup, TILT channel setup, channel plan selection, channel edition and channel sorting.

This handheld level analyzer operates over a wide frequency range of 5MHz to 870MHz. It supports a level range of 30dBμV to 120dBμV at a high accuracy of ±1.5dBuV (Indoor temperature) or ±2.5dBuV (-10°C to 40°C). The analyzer is able to scan up to 125 channels at a speed of 30channels/m within its operating frequency range. Moreover, 24 groups of data can be stored in the analyzer memory – 100 channels per group.

Handheld xDSL Tester with PC Emulation

CATV Analyzer for Digital/Analog TV Transmission Networks

It tests analog TV indexes, digital TV QAM modulation channel power, and MER and BER modulation. It is an ideal solution for troubleshooting network problems and monitoring potential network security attacks.

This compact CATV analyzer, model 883B, works over a wide frequency range of 5MHz to 870MHz at an accuracy of ±10ppm. RBW including 100kHz, 300kHz, 8kHz are available for auto selection. In analog level testing mode, it tests CW, AM and FM signals; while in digital power testing mode, the CATV analyzer deals with QPSK, QAM, COMDF and random waveform signals.
