USB Serial Channel Buffer – A Professional Device for Data Management

Single Fiber Fusion Splicer Features Simultaneous X and Y Views

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has rolled out its innovative single fiber fusion splicerfeaturing digital color display, a built-in large capacity battery, and simultaneous X and Y views. Fusion splicing is preferred over mechanical splicing for its inherent durability and strength. This practical fusion splicer is intended to splice single mode (SM) or multimode (MM), dispersion shifted (DS), non-zero dispersion shifted (NZDS), and erbium doped fibers (EDF) in the construction and maintenance of fiber optic networks.

This single fiber fusion splicer, model 720B, requires only a nine second splice time and 45s tube-heat time. The average splice loss is 0.02dB, 0.01dB, 0.04dB and 0.04dB respectively for SM, MM, DS and NZDS fibers. The splicer automatically adjusts to environmental conditions using built-in temperature, humidity and pressure sensors that provide constant feedback signals to control the fusion arc temperature. The user programmable single fiber fusion splicer automatically checks the fiber end face andcalibrates parameters. It has a RS232 interface for communication and is able to store 8000 groups of splice results . In addition, the splicer supports up to 150 times continuous splices and heats.
