Handheld CATV Signal Analyzer with Auto Scan Testing Capability

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has announced the release of its portable CATV signal analyzer. This easy-to-use signal analyzer is specially designed and manufactured for CATV system installation, testing and maintenance. It tests CATV signal levels in both channel and frequency modes. In channel mode, the signal analyzer scans all channels and stores the signal levels; in frequency mode, the spectrum is displayed and the frequency range is tested.

This handheld CATV signal analyzer, model A0N00002, operates at a level frequency range of 46 to 870 MHz with a resolution bandwidth of 280 ± 50 kHz. It accurately measures CATV TILT and trunk cable voltage and provides DVB-C digital signal testing including average peak power, MER, BER, and C/N. It features high-speed measurement, auto-off time setup and auto scan testing. It provides a maximum channel scan of 100 channels at a speed of 30 channels/min and stores 23 groups with 100 channels for each group when performing auto scan testing. This CATV signal analyzer is powered by a 7.2 V/1.6 Ah rechargeable battery providing more than 4.5 hours continuous operation and has an AC power supply as well.

Digital TV index measurement includes channel power, MER (modulation error ratio), BER (bit error rate) and constellation diagrams for 16/ 32/ 64/ 128/ 256QAM/ ITU-TJ.83 Annex A/B/C modulation types. Analog TV index measurement includes C/N, V/A, Tilt, Limit and trunk voltage.

Network Tester Combines the Functionality of Both a TDR and DMM into One Unit

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm has launched its handheld network tester designed for the installation and maintenance of xDSL networks The advanced network tester integrates the functionality of both a Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR) and a Digital Multi- Meter (DMM) into one unit.

This full-featured compact network tester, model A0060002, performs network layer testing including Ping, IPconfig, Tracert and Route, cable length testing, PPPOE dialing, attribute revision, and wiring diagram testing to validate cable link sequence. The network tester also conducts DMM tests such as AC or DC voltage, loop resistance, line capacitance and line insulation.  It tests 4 pairs of non-shielded cables and 4 pairs of shielded cables including CAT5, CAT5E and CAT6. The easy–to-use tester measures the cable length and locates breaks and faults within a maximum distance of 150 m.

This portable network tester offers fixative IP scanning and Web browsing for LAN test and has a memory capacity of 20 MB to store test results. It can be powered by a rechargeable Li-ion battery or a 9.6 V DC adaptor. The embedded software can be upgraded to the latest version through LAN or USB.

Cisco Compatible 10GBASE-SR X2 Transceiver

This fully integrated 10.3 Gbit/s optical transceiver module consists of an 850 nm wavelength optical transmitter and a receiver, XAUI interface, Mux and Demux with clock and data recovery (CDR). Clamp Earth Tester Has Automatic Self Calibration Capability

PCM Channel Analyzer Featuring Flexible Control Modes
