Overview - Zyxel Compatible 1000Base-LX GBIC Transceiver (GBIC-LX-10)
This Zyxel compatible GBIC transceiver operates at a wavelength of 1310 nm for single-mode fiber and has a long transmission distance of up to 10 km. It is compliant with GBIC interface converters specification Rev. 5.5 as well as Gigabit Ethernet standard as specified in IEEE 802.3. This hot-pluggable optical transceiver consists of two sections: the transmitter section incorporates an advanced FP laser diode, and the receiver section uses an InGaAs detector preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting post-amplifier IC. In addition, a 20-pin SCA-2 host connector is used to connect the converter to the host system.
